GDv2 Upgrade Problem – Get directions does not work

    Dear GD support team,

    after upgrade from GDv1 to GDv2 I am unable to use the function “Get Directions” while clicking then nothing will work instead of getting the google maps displayed or get directions option shall be used on mobile devices to get navigation instructions.

    You mean in the sidebar of the detail page? The directions below the map work fine for me.

    You need to add that as a widget or shortcode. It is not available as a custom field, it looks like you tried to create that yourself?
    I added it as a widget.

    Hi Guust,

    are you able to explain in brief what you exactly have done with proper step by step info, to be able to reproduce the same?

    Those GetDirections have been set in GDv1 and after GDv2 the function behind is not working. That’s why I am asking for the solving and explanation to adjust.

    You need to use the “GD > Directions” widget in V2.
    Delete the “Get Directions” custom field.

    Hi Guust,

    those “get directions” text fields within the listings have been enabled in GDv1 by adding text fields.

    Now I want the same functionality to be enabled but within GDv2.

    Add the [gd_post_directions] shortcode in the GD Archive Item template.

    You will have to do that with CSS.

    Correct, just delete the custom field.
