    Hello to everybody, I need an information about “Sort By” label.
    I see that “Sort By” label is present in CPT pages but not in Search Results pages: why this difference?
    Why is not present “Sort By” label in Search Results pages too if there’s in CPT pages?
    Maybe for geolocation? I do not understand..
    There’s a way to add it into Search Results pages?
    If You need to see my website pages (CPT and Search Results) I have to send to You my WP admin access (website is under construction so it is offline).

    Hi Kor, thanks for Your reply.
    I have already set up them in Sorting Options but I view them only in CPT pages and not in Search Results pages.
    Maybe I set something wrong? Could You check if I send to You my WP admin access?

    Apologies,

    sorting options only apply to CPT listing and other CPT archive pages.
    Search results are always sorted by relevance (matching keywords, nearest).

    Hi Alex, and why this?
    If there’s sort by labels on CPT pages why there’s not in search results?
    Is there a specific reason for this choice?

    Because search results are the result of a search and are ordered according to the search criteria that the user is defining.

    Archives can be sorted, not search results. That’s normally the case in all major directories.

    Ok but I hope that, in future, “Sort By” will be added to Search Results..because if I search a restaurant in Milan, for example, I’m interesting to Sort results by ratings, reviews, etc.
