Geodirectory 2 – Kleo theme – some features from Supreme directory

    Hello,

    I like Supreme directory, but also like Kleo theme so I wonder how can I use search or listing design and featured image or detail section on detail page from Supreme directory in Kleo theme.

    In Geodirectory 1 I made this works, but in Geodirectory 2 template structure and Supreme directory is different so I will be happy If you can give me some directions how can I achieve mentioned design.

    Hi Tilen,

    Thanks for your post. Could you capture some screenshots that you’d like to have in your Kleo theme from Supreme Directory? If you would like to have the search form with the categories listed below and a full bg image, you can possibly achieve this with a page builder. Let us know.

    Kleo authors originally wrote CSS to apply additional formatting to GDV1. Some CSS is required to achieve the same with GDV2.

    For example, you can use the GD Post Ratings in the archive item and set it to alignment right, but you would also need to use CSS to limit the width of items on the left to give the ratings space in the right hand side.

    The Kleo authors have promised ‘compatibility’ with V2 but it is unclear what they meant by that. We have several members who have already deployed live GDV2 sites with Kleo with some CSS.

    When it comes to the map layout, that is a feature you would best discuss with the Kleo authors.

    Hello,

    thanks and I understand, but I don’t have problems with css for now.

    My question is how use Geodirectory compatibility from Supreme Directory 2.

    I need to add in detail page:
    detail featured img
    detail top sidebar

    In listing/search page:
    template structure like in supreme directory

    For example: I tryed with geodirectory-compatibility.php and content-featured-area.php from supreme directory in child theme to achieve featured img on detail page but unsucessfully for now.

    I can build my php template for homepage with GD shortcodes, but don’t know how can I do this for detail or listing page.

    I will be happy for some directions how to use geodirecotry-compatibility to achieve design like in attachment.

    You will need to pull out the code from Supreme Directory V2 and then customize Kleo to use it, but it sounds like you know that.

    If you look in geodirectory.php and content-geodirectory-archive.php you will find references to other functions that you will need to include.
