Geodirectory update

    There is a confusion with GeoDirectory update plugin. When i open plugins and i see “there is a new update for GeoDirectory” i pressed the button to update. I only realized afterwords, that it was update to V2, it said something, that i need to update via the FTP as well. I’m not sure what happened, but my site went blank after i tried to update. Unable to login to admin, no front page…nothing. I know that my theme is not comparable with V2 as of yet, so i did not want to convert to V2, but there was no indication about it. No mention about V2 at all. What should i do now? Thanks

    OK, i managed to revert site from backup. Just to clarify again. I’m using Whoop theme. When the V2 would be available for this theme? I was wondering if GD plugin updates for Geodirectory will work with V1 ? Or maybe better not to update anything any more. Thanks

    Nope, it appears nothing is working properly. I noticed it overwrite .htaccess also on some browsers is showing 500error. I’m screwed a big time;/

    zyze8, look at your error log. It is most likely a plugin causing the 500 error.

    Hello,

    we do not have a release date for Whoop yet, but you can use Directory Starter or any other third party theme in the meantime.

    GDV2 has hundreds of improvements and new options for your directory.

    If you haven’t already please be sure to check out this doc about upgrading: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/upgrade-from-gdv1/

    Also, it would probably help to take a look here at the getting started doc which talks about setting up your directory home page and much more: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/

    If, after reading the getting started doc you still have an issue with the upgrade please share WP Admin credentials in a private reply so we can take a look at your settings.
