Whoop has not yet been updated to be compatible with GDV2.
You can try Directory starter, Supreme child, or any other theme on the market. Whoop is a special case because it features some integrations that must now be updated. That should be complete soon. You can keep track of releases here:

GDV1 and V2 addons and themes cannot be mixed and matched.
GDV2 does not have a GD Home page setting in the options at GeoDirectory – General – Pages
It is no longer required, and so you can use any page you like.
There is still a Location page, though, so do take your time to adjust the shortcodes on the Location page to your liking: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/page-design/
