Hello everyone, the administrator and support team of Geodirectory.

I am grateful because Geodirectory has formed a new idea for me, we are developing a business model for national-scale tourism listings.

Besides that, our research team is working behind the scenes. So, that is the reason why I always buy membership by means of interruption, if our research team finishes working, our membership will also be extended.

So far we are very comfortable working using WordPress core code.

But for reasons of increasing business scale going forward, and also after reading about the maximum capabilities of wordpress.org and wordpress.com Business Plan, it looks like professional Directory Listing will be more reliable if it uses core code other than WordPress, meaning it doesn’t use CMS but uses core code written from scratch.

My question: can Geodirectory be installed on core code besides WordPress? if that is possible, I would like to find a developer at geodirectoryexperts.com for further consultation.

    Thanks.

    Hi Zul Kurniawan,

Thanks for your post. Geodirectory will not work without WordPress and there isn’t any HTML version of the plugin available.

    Thank you Kor,

The quality improvement I am referring to is like implementing a point system for our users.

From this it can be seen that wordpress.com (with Business Plan) does not allow the use of the MyCred plugin which is included in an incompatible plugin because it is classified as SQL-Heavy Plugins. On the other hand, when using self-hosted wordpress.org we are not quite sure about security issues.

From here, the idea to install Geodirectory not with WordPress Core code, then the question arises above.

Please advise all of you, if my idea is too bad please let me know, so it’s like I’m asking a teacher. Maybe I misjudged WordPress itself, maybe I’ll just use the core WordPress code. If you think you should.

    Thanks,

Okay, then right now we are using self-hosted wordpress.org, if WordPress is reliable we will likely continue to use the core WordPress code. Then if someday we want to use wordpress.com Business Plan, how do I do the Geodirectory migration?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    To move WordPress see: https://wordpress.org/support/article/moving-wordpress/

Using WordPress.org with your own host is a good idea, so you can do what you want with your site.
