    Hi support
after I installed wpmudev Defender security plugin my GD site broke giving an error when writing a review, rating or a place.
As you suggested, I deactivated and deleted Defender plugin but the problem remained. So I decided to make a brand new GD installation. I deleted all the data (places, event, reviews, etc.) then I deactivated and deleted all the plugin (first the GD addon and then the GD core).
Then I reinstalled Geodirectory anew with GD Dummy Data but the problem is still there: if I add a review to a dummy data place it gives me an “Internal Server Error”.
It says: The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at postmaster@whatrun.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
    Can you please help me?
Maybe there are some files to delete manually?

    Thank you
    Fabrizio

    Hi Fabrizio,

Do you think you can share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    Hi,

did you contact the server administrator to check the server error log?

Without that information it will be very difficult to resolve the problem…

I would also try to delete your .htaccess file and save permalink to generate a clean one, maybe the defender plugin left some of its code in it.

    Let us know,

    Hi Fabrizio,

The line “suexec policy violation: see suexec log for more” please check of provide these logs, you may have to ask your server admin to disable that rule.

    Let us know.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hi Stiofan
I solved the problem with my server admin. PHP script permission was NOT 755 so they reset it and now geodirectory works fine 🙂
I asked the developers if Defender did it. I’ll let you know.
    Many thanks for your support!!
    Bye
    Fabrizio
