First question: So, with multiple CPTs, the search page requires picking one of them (there is not an “all” option that I can see). How can I enable a global search rather than a CPT-specific search?

Second question: My directory is not exactly local, meaning the entries in it are regional service providers (for example, covering one or several states). Each of the companies has an address, but their company location is not the “geo” aspect that is relevant for search. The services they offer are delivered remotely, so nobody looks for where they are LOCATED, but where they offer services… So, the question is, a) how to structure the directory and b) how to structure search as a result?

    Thanks!

    1. You can use the WP normal search widget, but the results will not be styled and presented as GD listings.

    2. Try organising your listings in categories “Areas served” or use a custom field “Areas served”.

    Thanks
