I cant figure what the problem is with my google maps, I had everything working fine a week ago and not none of my maps work.

I have a local version of the site which I have disabled all plugings just in case any of them were having an affect of the javascript. I also have a test site at Arigna Heritage Test Site. I have re enabled the plugings one by one but still no joy.

I have tried several api keys and I have verified the test sit with Google Search Console.

The main map I need working is at Local Search, It shows for about 1 sec and then give the Oops! Something went wrong error.

    Driving me nuts.

Live test site working now. Dont know why, maybe there is a delay from setting up the api to it becoming active.

The local site is not working but I assume that is because of the url localhost/site/etc is not recognised by google.

Any thought on the how to get the maps to show in the localhost test site.

    Hi,

The Google maps API never played well with localhost, even before they required an API key.

It’s good practive to develop Google Maps powered applications on live server.

    Thanks

    Ya, Paolo,
I think your right but its funny how it was working with localhost up untill a few days ago.
Anyway, I have lots to do on the local server before I get it live.

    Thanks
    J
