1. I have about 25K listings – so my map has always moved a little clunky – but lately (after installing updates? tweaking other setting?) the maps loads incredibly slow. If I remove some categories, it seems to load after a minute.
2. It always puts me in rural eastern Oregon. Not sure why. It’s really zoomed in on nothing. Where do I change this?
https://upendpr.com/database/ – is behind authentication – sharing in private reply below…
3. I am certain that I am not taking full advantage of WPGeoDirectory. Could you please offer some suggestions on how I could better offer our media directory to our members? I’m an active WPGD member – and would really like to improve this – but I don’t know what I don’t know…
Thanks!

Your GD permalinks for your GD Home page should be the same as your Location page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home
I added a test page at https://…/test/
So you see that different states work just fine, so my suspicion is that there is a rogue listing somewhere. You could check each state and if one of them does not load, you can check the cities until you find the listing that is tripping things up.I will alert the others too, they may have better ideas.
June 19, 2017 at 12:05 am #383773I already have WP Rocket not running on those directories AND also not for logged in users.
I don’t want to make the front page of my site (root) the same page as my GD front page. The instructions tell me how to change my default WP front page to my directory page.
I’m sorry – the URL didn’t come across?
Thanks for the quick reply.

I’ve switched that location page to what I believe is my GD main page.
I’ve turned off WP Rocket. I don’t see any difference. I go to a page like https://upendpr.com/media/news-paper/ and it is blank.
Seriously – thanks for your help, here!

June 19, 2017 at 6:49 am #383787Hi Josh,
1)
< Enable server side clustering from GD > Design > Marker Cluster > Cluster Type. Client side is better and faster for small directories, server side is better for large directories.2)
< There is an error in AJAX response, i can see in firebug(see screenshot). Let us provide FTP details to look into more.FYI Two Google maps on same page may not works that shows GeoDirectory listings.
Let us know.
Thanks,

Well, that would be great if you could check it out a bit more. I see some big improvements with the map on this page:
https://upendpr.com/database/Not sure why it’s diff from this version: https://upendpr.com/media-database/ – which is still hanging.
June 19, 2017 at 8:00 pm #383944So – I do need to activate PrettyLink – we use it a lot.
Also – what happened to that page? /database – It disappeared. It was the only one that was working.
June 20, 2017 at 9:32 am #383983Hi Josh,
Checked by disabling non GD plugins and enabling WP default theme and found that there is something conflict with the “envision” theme. I checked with twentytwelve theme and the home page (https://upendpr.com/directory/) map loads all the markers fine.
Page https://upendpr.com/media-database/ is build with envision page builder, so i can’t test it with twentytwelve theme.
Your site running with WP v4.3 which is too older then recent v4.8, so you have to update first WP with latest version. This could be a reason.
I can’t find any page under WP > Pages with slug /database. What content was in there page?
Let us know.
Thanks,
KiranJune 20, 2017 at 12:13 pm #384005There was a page and it worked! I don’t know where it went! It was the same as what I have now. I even checked the code and it was the same.
I have updated WP and I changed that page to classic editor
https://upendpr.com/media-database/
It’s not working. 🙁
June 20, 2017 at 12:49 pm #384012Hi,
Please check now after clearing your browser cache. https://upendpr.com/media-database/ works fine now.
Let me know what content was on https://upendpr.com/database/
Is it location page? or replica of https://upendpr.com/media-database/?Kiran
