I setup my Google MAPs API now Google is reminding me to “Remember to configure the OAuth consent screen with information about your application”. I viewed the OAuth consent screen, but how and why I need to do this is unclear. Is this recommended/required? If so, is their documentation on how to properly do this for GeoDirectory?

    It is not required, no.

I’m setting up a new installation of the Supreme Directory and can’t get the maps to display any pins. I thought that the OAuth may have been my problem. But I can’t get the maps to display any results.

My API is unrestricted, I have done a minimal install (frontpage and dummy data) in GeoDirectory. I have activated the Supreme Directory Theme and created frontpage. At this point, I think I should be able to see map pins on the map, but while I get search results, the maps always show “No records found”. I have been trying to get this to work all day, can you help?

    Hi antoniomartin,

Thanks for your reply. Could you please check and see if you’ve assigned a category to a listing? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/categories/place-categories-update/#need-to-know

Yes, all listings have categories. The only listings loaded are from the dummy data import done in the setup wizard. I’ve attached a screenshot of what I am seeing.

    Hi antoniomartin,

Thanks for your reply. This looks like an issue with the Google MAP APi Key. Did you include billing for your Google MAP API Key? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/google/#need-to-know . If the issue still persists, kindly share your Website WP admin access here in private reply and we’ll check this out for you.

Unfortunately, I’m running with a local server that will allow view of the site, but will not allow WordPress admin access. But with that in mind I switched from Google Maps to OpenStreet maps with the same result. See attached.

    Hi antoniomartin,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry, we won’t be able to help much without an access. Could you possibly upload your Website to a staging URL so that we could check on it?

Do you have Ninja Forms install?
Please share a screenshot of the plugins page.

Thanks for the hint…I deactivated Ninja Forms and maps started working! Updated GeoDirectory plugin to Version 2.0.0.79, reactivated Ninja Forms and maps still work. So, Ninja Forms was definitely the problem.

Excellent, yes, NF has a bug, and we keep releasing fixes for the bug.

    Glad you got it working
