    Hi

    Please can you advise where the GD Google Maps API is pulling data from – take a look at the map text on bottom right zoomed out

    HI,

    that is something that comes embeded in the map when rendered and can’t be removed/edited as far as I know, unless you create a widget to use another mapping service…

    Let me rephrase

    Why does it say Autonavi? Which is a Chinese map data company and then Kingway IT?….

    It suggests the API data is provided by Autonavi licensed to kingway IT

    Hi swm3,

    I have no idea, we should ask that question to google to have an answer.

    If I look at the demo at wpgeo.directory it says : Map data © Bararsoft, Goggle, INEGI ORION-ME

    I guess it depends on the datacenter sending the map or something like that…
