    While testing a directory listing on

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets

    From Google Webmaster Tools , Structured Data Testing Tool

    I noticed the Schema markup language ref: http://schema.org/LocalBusiness
    did not appear.

    This is a must for any directory plugin. I was told during pre-sales that this feature exists but and I am a bit fuzzy on this, that another feature overwrote this feature perhaps.

    I just purchase the full year subscription and really can not use this plugin with out the schema markup language working.

    – Here is an example of Microdata:

    <div itemscope itemtype=”http://schema.org/LocalBusiness”>
    <h1><span itemprop=”name”>Beachwalk Beachwear & Giftware</span></h1>
    <span itemprop=”description”> A superb collection of fine gifts and clothing
    to accent your stay in Mexico Beach.</span>
    <div itemprop=”address” itemscope itemtype=”http://schema.org/PostalAddress”>
    <span itemprop=”streetAddress”>3102 Highway 98</span>
    <span itemprop=”addressLocality”>Mexico Beach</span>,
    <span itemprop=”addressRegion”>FL</span>
    </div>
    Phone: <span itemprop=”telephone”>850-648-4200</span>
    </div>

    Hi Guys,

    Can you tell me where the schema.org info is implemented?

    1. Any configuration? e.g. Local Business Vs Restaurant Vs Bed and Breakfast

    2. Which pages is it added to? i.e. Listing Detail Vs Directory website footer
    i.e. Can we add it for the directory itself, as well as the businesses listed in the directory, or is this a bad idea?

    (Using another directory system I sometimes get phone calls for the businesses listed)

    Hi Guust,

    This topic is marked as Resolved, which is why I posted a new topic, in case my question was going to be overlooked.

    I agree with purpleedge, local business shouldn’t be the only schema.org markup, custom post type setup should allow for schema.org definition, events should most definitely support schema markup.

    We should be able to select ANY TYPE of Schema from schema.org. Makes the wpgeodirectory more appealing to many more people and ALSO more valuable

    I know this is an old post, but it appears there is still no markup for reviews? For example, in the source code for this page http://www.plasticsurgeryhub.com.au/psh-directory/plastic-surgeons-nsw/dr-damian-marucci/ I can only see these three:
    http://schema.org/LocalBusiness
    http://schema.org/WPSideBar
    http://schema.org/PostalAddress

    Shouldn’t there be http://schema.org/Review as well?

    I would like to emphasize this. It is essential to have a rich snippet include for reviews. This should be easy to handle…
