    Hi

    How can I generate site map for locations and locations+category? I try cople plugins and non of them can handle that. I can generate site map only for listings and category pages (without location)

    Hi,

    have you tried WP SEO plugin by Yoast?

    If that doesn’t work, I think the only way would be to manually add the location pages to a sitemap, because they are not “real pages” and plugins that auto generate them are not really aware of them.

    I’ll also ask to the developers if they see an easier way.

    SEO yoast doesn’t work, and probably no plug-in will work. Since this is highly specific problem to geo directory, i think you should address this with some xml site map add on. And i think from seo perspective not having all this locations in site map may be downside.

    Hi,

    I’ll ask to the developers to add a tool (maybe in GD Tools) to create a locations-sitemap.xml file that you can submit to Google.

    cool but make sure it will ad also location + category. I would suggest some list in settings to choose what you want include in site map. For example.
    Include places
    Include GD categories
    Include GD categories + places

    But i think in this case you have to address site map for whole website unless you manage some how incorporate gd sitemap to other site map plugin

    I think this would be a needed addition as well. I tried Yoast Seo and only my posts and pages get listed. I also tried another sitemap plugin and got the same result.

    Hi,

    this has been added in the latest version of the MultiLocations add-on.

    It hooks in Yoast sitemaps.

    All locations index pages grabbed in main index http://www.siteurl.com/sitemap_index.xml
    This generates full location links page – gd_location_full-sitemap.xml OR gd_location_full-sitemap1.xml, gd_location_full-sitemap2.xml …

    This generates country/region location links page – gd_location_country_region-sitemap.xml OR gd_location_country_region-sitemap1.xml, gd_location_country_region-sitemap2.xml …

    This generates country location links page – gd_location_country-sitemap.xml OR gd_location_country-sitemap1.xml, gd_location_country-sitemap2.xml …

    It also reflects hide country/region settings from location settings.

    Categories/tags/location pages are indexed as well.
