Goolge maps not showing

    Hello

    I have installed the demo version priot to buying the plugin to see how it works. After settig default location to “everywhere” so i can add locations worldwide, all google maps are not shoing anymore. Gives me a grey map calling a error…

    Can you advise me

    Did you input your Google Map credentials?

    You cannot set your default location to everywhere, and you must add your Google API Key:

    Well many thanks for your help, but dont work..

    I have set Google API Key
    I have chnaged to New York instead of everywhere

    But all seems to be jammed on this pluginj. I cant even set a Default Location (See screenhot)
    Gives me no records found for new york…..

    Not quite user friendly if you ask me

    You have to click on “Set Address on Map” to generate the long/lat directives.

    Frank,

    looks like your Google Maps Credentials are not set correctly. What is the console saying?

    Hi Frank,

    trying to set the default location to everywhere is probably what created the problem.

    Try this: add a 0 (zero) to both the city latitude and city longitude fields and save.

    That should bring back the map. After that click the “set address on map” button and that should fetch the city lat and lon for New York.

    If you are unable to do that too, please provide a link and admin credentials and we will have a look at your settings.

    Paolo, many thanks for your guide, this wirked for me!

    Now for my last question before getting all set and purchasing premium version.

    What is a default adresse needed for ?

    I am asking this because, after now been able to set default adresse to city “zürich”, when i try to add a place in a other part of my country every time i click an set adresse on map the plugin tells me it must be in the region of the default adresse Zürich

    Fo you to understand: i set default to newyork, when trying to add a place las vegas it tells me that las vegas must be in the region of new york >> Strange

    Any ideas

    The free GeoDirectory plugin allows you to create a directory for one location, your default location.

    The Location Manager Addon enables your Global directory, so you can add listings to locations all over the world.

    I have now purchased the addon, that issue works now.
    BUT. I have set the default map marker to a custom pic, bit it dont show!

    url to the file is correct (when clicked shows in browser)

    What could this be ?

    The icon you added for the category does not exist, you need to add a new icon for the category at
    GD > Place Categories
