I’ve uploaded a dataset with a number of fields: email address, phone number, website, etc. However, the dataset doesn’t seem to be being recognized by the custom fields or regular fields in place settings. How do I assign a certain field in geodirectory to a certain field in my dataset so that the data is pulled up and placed in the map bubble when I select this option in “Show in what locations”?

    Hi Daniel,

custom fields must be created in advance and you use the html variable in your CSV file.

The CSV file to be used, must be our sample CSV file. You can’t upload just any kind of file format.

The best way to have a properly formatted file is to create at least 1 listing with all custom fields from the back end. Then export the CSV from the Import / Export page.

Please check the documentation for more info: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/

Let us know if you have any other questions,

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

Thanks for your response. Can you please be more specific?

When you say “use the html variable in your CSV file”, what do you mean by html variable?

When you say “create at least 1 listing with all custom fields from the back end” where do I create this listing?

I believe I understand the rest of your response. Am I correct that I should create a listing with my custom fields, export the CSV, add the rest of my listings, and then re-import it?

    Thank you,

    Daniel

    Please see images attached.

for that custom field example the field would be called:

    geodir_testing1

Let us know how it goes,

    Thanks
