I am changing the Header (via Avada) for the GD Details template.

With any new uploaded ‘places’, I can see the new Header changes but ‘old’ content (i.e. anything before the header template change) stays the same. I am not using a GD Booster or any other caching plugin so I am wondering why a template amendment doesn’t apply across all ‘places’?

    Hi gaz36f,

Thanks for your post. Could you please share your Website URL here in question so that I could inspect it using the “Browser Developer Tools”?

Sorry Alex, I have just changed one of the links (as they were both the same) and added the one I was meant to, which highlights the difference.

Have you tried clearing cache? Does your host have something special for clearing cache? It might not be the date that is making it apply but the fact that the page cache is being rebuilt when a post is updated.

Ok, I’ve finally resolved it. Phew. It was a major headache.

Anyway, for anyone else who has this problem in the future, here is solution.

For those using an Avada theme, go into Theme Options and scroll down to ‘Performance’. Click ‘Reset Fusion Caches’. This apparently resets all Dynamic CSS & Dynamic JS, cleans-up the database and deletes the uploads/fusion-styles and uploads/fusion-scripts folders.

I have no idea why we have to do this. It doesn’t happen with any other pages, posts or portfolios throughout the website. It only occurs with GD Template pages. Anyway, this solution works. 🙂
