    Hi Guys
I’m in the punch list stage of our directory, and just need to fix a bunch of little things that are cropping up from the software.

Important —– I’m using a proxy since I’m not in the U.S and can’t geolocate. But yesterday when my boss logged in from New Jersey the home page did not find her location. What do I need to do to help the directory know the geolocation? LIke for the NEAR ME stuff.

    1. I can’t find how to edit the form in the search widget.
It’s not in any PO file I can find thus far. I did it once, but can’t find it. Can you point me to it?

    2. I want a map on the home page that is in the sidebar but not have categories.
The listing map doesn’t seem to work. So Map near me, but no categories.

    3. Just need to remove the add practitioner at the top, and leave add your listing.

    4. My map icons have disappeared. I don’t know why. I thought it had to do with the claimed listing, but I can’t get them on again.

Here’s a link to the screen shot.

If you need temporary login please let me know.
The software is feature rich, and I just got lost in the features.

I attached a screen shot for ease.

    Hi again,

    1) you can change that in GeoDirectory >> Design >> Search >> Search form default text settings

    2) add this in GeoDirectory >> Design >> Scripts >> Custom CSS

    .home .map-places-listing, .home .map-category-listing-main {display: none;}

    3) Remove the CPT from GeoDirectory >> Design >> Navigation >> Post Type Navigation Settings >> Show add listing link in main navigation.

    4) it appears that you moved from staging to live and haven’t updated icons URLs in the database, they are pointing to : http://findadoctor.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Attractions.png

Either re-upload the category icons or find and replace the old URLs in the database with a tool like this : https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

    Thanks

    Great Paolo!! Thanks

    One thing, if you could
when I click on acupuncturist (which is a category,)
it takes me to a listing page?

    http://findadoctor.drnaturalhealing.com/practitioners/acupuncturist/

Ideally it would go to a browse listings near your location for that category?

    Could you take a look?

I also use a proxy and live abroad, is it geolocating where you are?

    Thanks
    Mark

    Hi,

that will only happen if you share your location on the home page before clicking on the link.

It doesn’t seem like GeoLocation is enabled. You also have a big problem with regions. You are using abbreviations, while Google Maps API require full names.

    Thanks
