Hide category or price plan

I want to be able to hide a set of listings from the search results automatically. I’d enabled the option to hide a category but I now realise this applies only to the home page map, not the advanced search results. Is there a way in which I can hide certain listings from the advanced search results by default using a category or price plan please?
