Hide CPTs in Categories Widget

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Hi,

    Is there a way to hide some CPTs in the Categories?

    Places and Events CPT can’t be deleted there are some CPTs that are still empty so I would like to exclude them from the sidebar widget.

    I tried using CSS but it didn’t work.
