    Hi guys,

we want to display an unique full-width image for every category of listings. We have got the code for the unique custom image ready with the help of Advanced Custom Fields. But we do not know how to hook into the category generation.

Or did you update GD custom post types to support category archive pages?

    Cheers,
    R.

    Hi,

I’m not sure I understand where you want to show this image.

Can you please take a screenshot of the page and with visual indicators show where you want to show the full width image?

    Thanks

Can that not be achieved with the category top description?

Sure, no problem. Here you go. It´s the image at the top of the lady in the gym that we want to customise for every category. Gives a great effect.

Hi, does the category description widget accept php or shortcodes as input? Then, yes.

No, it doesn’t, but why would you need to add php or a shortcode to add an image?

I would use the category description as well.

    Thanks

Right, but does it accept html or css at least?

We were using php variables to stretch the image but we can use static html or css as well.

    It accepts normal HTML.

Still, should it not be easier to simply add archive support for custom post types created with GD?

WHat do you mean, modify the template? That is feasible too… but not as easy…

    Thanks

    Hi,

Could you advise the community how you solved this? Would be quite interested in knowing.

    Thanks!
