How can I change Categories to Custom Posts on start page?

The first page of my geodirectory has Popular Categories as the listings. I have the Custom Post Type add on. How can I change this first box to “Custom Posts.” For example I will have 10 custom post types for different types of business. I however am going to cover 6 different small towns. So each CPT will have 6 categories. So my customer will pick which type of business they are searching for, )I.E. Restaurants, Auto Mechanics ect) then the next screen will have the 6 different towns that they can choose from. The second page already comes up correctly, it is just that first page. There is the scroll down menu but it would be nice to list allof the CPT’s in the box.
