How does claim a listing work?

Hi,
in the doc you state that (optional)Pricing Manager Addon is optional. is that true?

Whats the procedure to claim a listing as a new visitor?
a) Comes to page
b) clicks link
c) enters his details & email
d) gets affirmed / auto affirmed
e) gets an email with login credentials for wordpress
