How does Prices and payments addon handle listings for deactivated price plans?

Hi there!

I just finished going thru the posts and reading anything that seemed like it may give me a clue. lots of good info that killed all current questions but one..A link to a post i missed or quick answers would be greatly appreciated.

basically my question is how listings are handled with a deactivated price plan.

Example, I create a promotional recurring plan, after the promotion period, this plan is deactivated so it cannot be chosen any more but is not deleted. what happens to any listings that were created with this deactivated plan? Do they

a) continue on as normal until the subscription is manually cancelled?
or
b) get modified depending on how the plan was initially configured?

Knowing this will help greatly in deciding how to promote as well as handle client/customer cancellations/refunds.
