How get all categories to display at top of page?

    Hi – I would like to lay out my site like the showcase site San Carlos Directory:
    http://sancarlosdirectory.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&s=+&snear=&sort_by=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=

    I have CPTs and categories, just like the SC Directory. How do I get my main landing page and CPT landing page to look the same with the categories at the top?
