    Hi,

    I have two questions.

I’m using the Modern theme. I have a couple of pages on my website.

1.) I want to add widgets such as the Popular Post Category and latest events. However, in the GD sections, I don’t see a widget area for the sidebar on a page.

    How to I do this?

2.) I am translating the website with WPML plugin which I read somewhere is compatible with the Geodirectory framework. I’ve installed and activated the plugin although there are so many things in Geodirectory to translate. Is there a step by step guide for translating Geodirectory with this plugin? Do I have to do anything with a .mo file or .po file? Do I just create one or is there an actual language file to download?

Thank you for answering my questions.

    1. At WP > Pages, make sure the template you use is the default template, not the full width template.
At WP > Appearance > Widgets, look for the “GD Page Details” widget area.

    2. You will need MO files for each language.

    This is how to translate:
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/

There are some starter language files here:

Thank you so much for your prompt help. I’ve been able to fix the page sidebar display quickly.

    The translation part… we’ll see.

    Anyways, thanks so much.

I’ll need a link too, please also tell me exactly what is not being translated and indicate the page where it is visible.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Home and Contact are menu items https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-menus/

Listing and add listing are in the core po file.

Search box item are in the advance search po file

My Dashboard, Sign in Button, New User? Register Now, Forgot Password, View all are in the core po file. Upcoming Events is a widget title: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/translate-widget-titles-2/

No Reviews, Favorite, are in the core po file. “Featured” banner on listing photos is an image (you can’t translate that).

There are no items from listings such as “Are groups rates available? That must be custom text.

For the footer text please see: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/footer-translation-2/

    Thanks
