How to allow users to change directory listing from published to draft

    We have a website where users aren’t allowed to access the backend features or admin bar. I’m wondering how can I let them change their directory listing from published to draft so that it does not display in the directory, but can still be activated at a later date. I’m wanting them to not have to delete them and recreate later just to hide them from the directory.

    Sorry, but that is not possible.
    They can delete them, and then you can manually get them out of the trash if required; that is the only way.
    Make sure to set GD > General > User deleted posts go to trash > YES
