How to auto-approve new users

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    I have our site setup so ANYONE can register for the site. I’ve been reading that they should just be able to get their login (confirmation email) and then be able to interact with the site… but it seems that even when people get their login info, they aren’t able to actually login until we manually go in and approve their user status… is there a setting I’m missing that enabled this?

    I just want people to register for the site and be able to login and use it automatically!
