    Hi,

Here is our current site link: http://innkeeper.devhtmlfive.com/

We’d like to know how to build a Custom Advanced Search page. This has to be something that won’t interfere with the default Advanced Search drop down we have now. I mean, we’d like to add fewer items in the default dropdown Advanced Search, but need to add lots of items in the Advanced Search Custom page. This would be very helpful if this was possible to do. Thanx in advance.

    Moose.

You could hide the advanced options on one page, and show them on another with custom CSS. For example hide the gear icon so the advanced search drawer does not show.

If you want to basically duplicate some GD functionality, so you can have 2 of everything related to search, it will require extensive modification of the core and advanced search plugins.
It is not possible to simply configure a second set of advanced search options.

I get it. But what I was looking for is that if the Advanced Search is a plugin or comes with a shortcode, I could use that on an empty page where all the search criteria would show up, but not as a drop down … is that possible?

Ah, yes, of course, there is a shortcode for search:
