How to deactivate automatic city selection?

    I have 1 country and 26 regions and hundreds of small cities. Therefore this automatic city selection doesn’t make sense for me:

    When you click on a place profile, it automatically sets the city of the place as “standard”. Now you can only find other places within that city (without changing the location switcher).

    How can I switch off this functionality? So that there is no automatically selected city.

    WP Settings > Permalinks > GeoDirectory permalinks > “Default” or “Custom base” without locations.

    Ok. But there is this bug right now:

    1. I select a “Region” in the location switcher.
    2. I click in the place list on any place within this “Region”.
    3. Then the location switcher changes to the “City” of this place.

    = If I select a Region in the location switcher, this settings should remain and not change to the City!
