How to Disable Reviews

    I would like to disable all reviews for places site-wide. Am I just missing something obvious? It was in any of the options I could find.

    Running GeoDirectory 1.4.1 with GeoDirectory Advance Search Filters 1.1.9, GeoDirectory Payment Manager 1.1.5, GeoDirectory Framework version 1.0.9, and the GDF Modern child theme version 1.0.0.

    Hi Brian, you can disable the reviews from WordPress / Discussions.
    for listings already published you need to edit them and disable the review individually

    Didn’t realize it was in the FAQ! You’d think that would have come up when I searched “disable reviews” in the support area.

    So I have learned that following those instructions prevents people from LEAVING reviews, but it doesn’t stop the reviews system from being there. All over, there are still links saying “No Reviews” and the listings pages still have a reviews tab. Is there any way to change this without going into the code of the plugin? Especially since that will mean that I’ll have to go in and re-add my changes every single time I have to update the plugin…

    For listings already in your database you have to disable comments for each listing, or with a bulk quick edit.
    So after you have disabled all comments in WP settings, you need to go to the listings in the backend and un-tick “allow comments”.
    Just changing the main setting is only for new listings, not for those already in the database.

    Also GD > design > detail > Exclude selected tabs from detail page > Reviews
