How to Get Rid of The Under_Score When Clients Upload Images?

I don’t mind the numbers that are generated but I need a dash vs underscore. Google hates underscores 🙂

    Google see’s:

    123_car as 123car.
    123-car as 123 car

    Google ignores underscores.

    See attached image.

Do you guys know of a fix? I switched from gd default and all that but it was still generating the numbers with underscore.

I’ll get a developer to have a look at your question too, but Google does not really hate underscores, they just recommend hyphens are preferred: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/76329?hl=en

    Thanks

This will change in GDv2 but FYI the top 3 google image results for “car” all use underscores…

    Thanks,
