How to import categories without the -1 at the end?

    Hi, I am importing categories from another directory which I am leaving because of too many errors.

    I have successfully imported my categories, but I do not like that it adds a “-1” at the end of the end of the slugs. I have tried to edit the slugs in each category but it goes back to the “-1” at the end.

    Is there a way to avoid this and why does it happen? Thank you.

    I think it might be because of my old directory, think I need to delete the categories from that one first. I’ll try it and see how it goes. I know we’re supposed to do this on a clean install, but it’s been a little scattered trying to save all my info.

    I fixed it, had to delete the entries in phpmyadmin from the old directory. Nevermind!
