    Hello Support,

If a user inputs something on the Near Search Box and click SEARCH, then he’s taken to the search page.
If he would want to completely erase this text he can’t, he is being forced to type a new text. What if he doesn’t want to use the Near Box anymore?

Please see screenshot (not my website, so it’s not just me), in this case I entered “89” in Near…there’s no way to reset it to nothing, even reloading the page won’t do it.

    Thank you

We have worked on improvements for this in V2, to make clearing the location easier.

For V1 currently the options available are to:

    1. Give the user links directly to new location pages, to change the user location
    2. Enter a new location in near search
    3. Send the user to the location page /location/ to reset the user location to ‘everywhere’

V2 Location Manager Addon release is coming very soon, and then you can provide feedback on the functionality. Stay tuned to the blog for updates about that.

    Hello Alex,

    thank you for your reply.

I think 3 would be the less confusing to users. The only thing is that this option/button would have to be in the search-bar, the most used and intuitive place to select user-search-preferences.

A button called “reset location” near the compass would be a solution.
if in Homepage take user to Homepage-Everywhere
if in Search Page take user to Search-Everywhere
    if in listings -> Listings-Everywhere

Nice to hear about V2, but we don’t know when all addons and migration can be done (6 months?).

I think V1 deserves a fix for this issue, it’s important IMO.

Could I expect some help? Even the button only taking user to Homepage-Everywhere would be of great help.

    Thank you for you time.

    Hello,

it would be a customization for V1, but I will flag this for the developers in case they have an easy fix.

    Hello Alex,

    Thank you.
I mean, user should be able to delete what he has written in the search, it’s like every site works. I apologize but I got a little disappointed by this 🙁

Looking forward to hearing from you
