I have followed https://wpgeodirectory.com/how-to-sort-listings-by-price/ but it doesn’t seems to work for me.

How can I check if I have made the right adjustments?

I have made the functions.php adjustments via a new Snippets entry. Does that work or should I adjust functions.php itself?

Please try it in your functions.php and let us know how it goes.

If it doesn’t please provide a link and admin credentials to your website so that we see what’s not correct.

    Thanks

    Hello,

referring to the original instructions, it appears that the text field you created is not a number.

Please check the setup and correct that, then continue to review your customization to make sure you have followed each instruction.

Also, you will need to check to make sure that the WP DB table prefix matches what is present in the snippet, and update the snippet to match your tables. The snippet reads “

    wp_geodir_gd_place_detail

” but your WP installation may have a different table prefix.

    i mean prefix is “wp_”

The snippet will not work if the setup is not done correctly.

Strangely, when I check the created text field, it says “NUMMER”, which is number in english. So I don’t know what you saw when you checked it.

Also the table prefix is wp_

Strangely when I copy the exact functions addition, into my functions.php (so without making any adjustments), I also get an 500 error. Are you sure this solution still works?

    Hello,

I have created three listings(with name Free, Silver & Gold) to test custom sort. the sorting worked fine as expected(see attachment).

FYI: I have disabled one of buddy snippet(Postcode voor plaats:).

    Let us know.

    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hello,

Provide us FTP credentials so we can take a look why it not upgraded for existing listings.

I think I found it, I guess the page follows the sort option set in

    geodirectory/design/Detail/Sort by

I can’t choose for ‘ my custom sort’ but choosing for ‘featured’ does the job for ‘ Gold’ listings

You can mark it as resolved, and I am going to add a feature request to be able to sort to more fields (at least the one that is used for this kind of sorting) in the details field.

    thanks for your support
