    Hello,
Is there a guide for this (can’t find info)? Is this advisable at all?

    Thank you.

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for your post. You can change it inside GD > Design > Map > DEFAULT MAP SETTINGS as shown in the attached screenshot.

    Thanks!

Hi Kor, Thank you, I was just posting that I found how.

The only difference I see is that when adding a listing the Country, Region and City don’t autopopulate, as well as the map marker doesn’t go to address.

So if I add the addresses in OSM I will not have this problem.

    – Could you tell me if this process is fairly fast?
    – Are there another disadvantages of OSM vs Google Maps?
    – Google Maps will switch to OSM when free quota is reached? (I read it may be possible, but haven’t found update for this)

    Thank you very much

    Hello,

Google’s data is incomplete, incompletely translated, and sometimes erroneous.
OSM’s data is even more so, except in rare cases/places where it isn’t.

    1. Conversion process – No process should be needed. It sounds like you found an area with less detailed coverage, though.
    2. OSM disadvantages – Can’t use the Google Custom Maps Addon to change the style.
    3. Switchover – No, but you can view the Google console to see what features area available.

He Alex, thank you for your answers. I think I wasn’t very clear.

    1. I was talking about the process of adding an address in OSM being an editor of the platform. I signed as a contributor and will look more into it.

    2. Great!

    3. Sorry, I didn’t understand your answer. I was asking if it is or will be possible that the map system turns from Google to OSM when requests are about to reach the free quota (Maybe when Google Javascript Api reaches 27.000 requests or another number defined by the user).
I didn’t understand “but you can view the Google console to see what features area available”.

Sorry for the troubles, I’ll appreciate if you can comment.
    Kind regards

    1. Editing OSM is great! Piece of cake through the browser.

    3. No, but you could see if you can sign up for alerts or notifications from Google platform, so you know when a quote has been exceeded.

3 is something that has been discussed for V2 but for later releases.
