    Hello,

I have put the Events Calendar Widget in Footer.

I would like to ask you to let me know how to translate it with WPML to get the dates with events linked to the correct language archive page. Should I create a different widget for each language?

Also, WPML String Translation does not find the months and days of the week strings, although I rescanned GD and GD Events plugins strings.

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

    Hi jotomas,

Thanks for your post. You can translate that in the Events Manager addon, the PO file included with the addon in the languages folder.

    Hi Kor,

Thank you very much for your reply.

What I mainly need to know is, to get the dates with events linked to the correct language archive page, should I create a different widget for each language?

Concerning the translation of the strings, I would like to avoid using the PO file and translate the strings with the WPML String Translation option. I think that I have already found the strings, but to be sure that I made it correctly I need to know the response to the first question about creating a different widget for each language or any other way of ensuring that I get the dates of the calendar with events linked to the correct language archive page

I look forward to your reply.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.

That should not be a problem, placing a widget in a footer widget area. If it is a problem, please share WP Admin and FTP so we can look into it.

    Hi jotomas,

On ajax requests WPML uses language code stored in cookie. On your site when user is logged in it always uses default CA language and retrieves calendar for CA language.

If you have noticed for non-logged users the calendars are working fine for all languages.

I have added some updates to fix this issue for logged in users, so it will force to use current language code to make ajax request to retrieve calendar.

Please try after clearing your browser cache & cache from server(it looks like your site caches JavaScript files from server side cache).

    Let us know.

    Regards,
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

Thank you very much for your reply.

In fact, I did not notice that for non-logged users the calendars were working fine for all languages.

Anyway, I have cleared caches and I can confirm that now it works fine for admin too.

Thank you very much once again for your help.

    Best regards.
