Icons not shown on maps or popular categories

    Hi

    This issue started from yesterday after the upgrades.On the popular categories instead of the icon all I see is the “name of the category” followed by “icon” You can see that on the screenshot. Also in the map I get an old icon rather than the right icon.

    This just happens for categories for which I create a new event or place after the upgrade. I have reloaded the icon for all the categories but it does not make any difference.

    P.S.Also I do not know if I am the only one but since the upgrade the pages load very slow.It seems that the booster does not make any difference.Anyone else???

    Hi

    I have been able to reproduce the issue in another of my sites very easily.

    1- Have a site with the previous versions (the ones two days ago)

    2- Rename “attractions” category to something else: “dogs” and create a place under this new category. I am not sure if this step is relevant.

    3- Try to delete the dummy data from Geodirectory–>general–>dummy data. It will delete but it will not show as removed (this issue has been fixed in latest updates)

    4- Upgrade to the latest versions.

    5- Again try to delete the dummy data from Geodirectory–>general–>dummy data. This time it will work and it will show as removed and you will get the option to populate it again.

    6- Create a new place, with any category and the issue will happen.

    To be honest when I applied the changes all the icons which were wrong got fixed.However still everytime I create a listing on a new category, then that icon does not show.So the issue is not fixed 100% by those changes.

    Hi Stiofan

    Sorry I could not reply before. I have been testing on my site and after applying the changes I still got the issue, However it is random and I can not replicate it or find a pattern. Sometimes I add a listing and the icon dissapears…but as I said is random and it does not happen very often. I will let you know if I find a pattern or a way to replicate.

    Hi Stiofan,

    I have just started today configuring Geodirectory and I have the same problem “Icons not shown on maps or popular categories”, but I am not a technical guy and I do not understand how to apply the patch that you mention to solve it.

    I have installed the version 1.3.9, which is the version available for download in WordPress.org, but the patch mentions version 1.4, which I do not know how to get.

    Hi Stiofan. You can see the issue on my site.(find details above in the private message).just add a retreat on a new/unused category such as october,december and you will see the issue still happening even after applying the fix.
