iFrames in custom post fields?

    Hello,
    I am disturbed because of Iframes oder Java-Scripts are not displaed in the details-page-sidebar. Is there any trick to solve this problem?

    I choosed the “html-field-type”.

    Hi, the textarea should work too. The video field, which is a default field uses a normal textarea and works with iframe embeds.

    For future reference, please post your URL and wp admin credentials and select the checkbox that says: Set as private reply.

    This way all moderators can see them. Not everyone has access to the main email and they risk to get overlooked.

    Thank You! What You see is an image included in a text field in combination with a link below. But thats not solving the problem. That´s not what I am looking for. As I already wrote: My goal is to embedd an iframe using a custom html field. The iframe was not displayed yet.
    What can I do?

    Works for me, just done a basic test at http://goldroo.net/events/concerts/adfgag-with-quotes/#post_info.

    This is the code I entered: 

    <iframe src="https://wpgeodirectory.com"></iframe>

    And here is another one where I just added a Google ad code:
    http://goldroo.net/events/concerts/jasper/#post_info

    Does not look all that well, but it works for me.

    Your code is using curly quotes instead of straight quotes.

    I only tested the first code, but I guess it is the same problem.
    I removed Visual Composer from GD post types so you can edit them.

    Hello Guust,

    yesterday I tried again embedding an iframe into a custom field of the GD gd_places post type. I tried it out with html-field-type and with textarea field-type, but it did not work again. After that I embedded the code into the field “video” that is already containing the embed-code for the youtube-video. In this field the iframe is working and to be displayed in the frontend.

    Please have a look here (all iframes in the field “video” in the sidebar)

    Comparing the two fields named “video” and “fb” I cannot see any differences. But as I said – the iframe is only beeing displayed in the “video”-field. Can You explain that?

    S: I do not use Visual Composer for editing GD Posts. It is used onliy for the not-GD-pages outside the plugin.

    Hi Peter, I’ve disable the Visual Composer for the gd_place (it wansn’t deactivated) and tried to insert the iframe code into a test listing, inside the special offer tab (I can’t see any other custom field). You can check it , the listing is “test iframe”.

    Hello Simone,

    my pictures uploaded to the slider still disapear without reason. Additional I cannot find them in the upload-folder? There is only one photo of 12 in the upload-folder. Cannot say what the reason is. Temporary all pictures where been displayed in the frontend. After that I liked to edit the listing. As I opened the beckend the photos where been deleted.

    Plus: Today I startet editing the GD from skratch in another WP installation separated from the former installation because of your tip as you said yesterday. I did hope to solve the issues with the pictures but not!

    Question: What kind of attributes should the upload-folder have? Maybe thats the reason of not uploading or not saving the photos in the upload-folder. Need urgend help for that. Cannot find the problem and the time is running…

    set the wp-content/uploads folder with permissions 755
