I'm not using Custom Post Types. Am I doing this wrong?

Hello, GeoDirectory –

I’m building out my initial directory, and I’m populating it with the businesses that my neighbors have already recommended in our Facebook group.

So far I’m not using any custom post types; I’m just putting everything in the category of “Businesses”. Am I doing this wrong?

What is the benefit of using CPTs?

One concern I have is whether I can move a business from one CPT to another. Say a user creates the new entry in the wrong CPT, is there any way to fix it, or I do have to delete and re-build it in the right CPT?

Also, when I go to add a new listing, I have to choose “Business” from the drop down. That seems silly, given that I only have 1 CPT, so a button would work much better.
