I’m experiencing a strange problem which nobody else seems to have mentioned, so it is obviously to do with my setup.

I can add a “place” with no problems at all, including photos. Everything appears correctly, all the photos are correct.

But if I make any change at all to a “place” (or do nothing and just click on the Update button), the images stop appearing. They don’t appear on the place’s details page, nor as thumbnails in the Edit Place page.

This has been happening with all versions of GD I’ve used so far, up to the most recent/current.

For all the images that do not appear, in the wp_geodir_attachments table in the database I can see a triple-slash before the file field for the image. e.g. ///image_name.jpg, compared to a single-slash for images that do appear OK.

Could this be an indication of a php setting not being set correctly for GD?

    Hi,

I’ve escalated this for the developers. I’m not really sure where the problem could be. You are right saying that this is the 1st time it comes up… Never seen something like this before.

It would help them figure it out, if you could provide a url and wp admin credentials in a private reply. Adding ftp and phpmyadmin details would probably help too.

    Let us know,

    Hi Faris,

Please provide wp-admin, FTP and DB access so i can debug this, you can reply and set it as a private reply and only staff will be able to see it.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hello,

Thanks for the info, your setting in media was not set to organise in to month/day, which can cause problems, i think this was the problem as it seems to work now. please check.

Also your details sidebar part seems to be missing some info, have you done this on purpose or is this a bug for you?

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Thank you Stiofan. I seem to recall trying to remove something or other in the sidebar at some point, but I don’t recall what. It is likely that this is why it might look odd 🙂 But I would have used an option within the settings, or possibly CSS.

Can you tell me what is missing? It might help me remember.

Thank you for looking into the image problem. I don’t like having images hidden in subdirectories when there are only a limited number. But if we need to do so to make your wonderful plugin work then it is no problem.

    Thank you again.

    Hi,

the default listing page sidebar is missing, normally it would look like this: http://wptry.it/try-geodirectory/places/united-states/pennsylvania/philadelphia/hotels/alexander-inn/

You either disabled it with css or via options at GeoDirectory >> Design >> Details.

Let us know if this helps,

    Thanks
