    In V1, when I uploaded an image (which is almost always a logo) the image displayed on the detail page was the actual size of the image. In V2 it gets blown up to medium image size (I believe) which unfortunately distorts some of the images since they are smaller than 300 x 300.

    How can I override the image size displayed so that it uses the exact size of the image uploaded?

    Depending on where you use the image, you can edit the appropriate template and choose the image size that should be used in the gd_post_image.

    You can take a look at your WordPress media settings to see which sizes are configured on the site.
