    ERROR: Could not find /home/salmanti/public_html/wp-content/uploads/http://www.salmantinea.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/cat_icon_19.png

Also, images uploaded in submission pages dont appear into the wordpress media manager

    Hi,

GD does not make images of GD custom posttypes as wordpress regular attachment to keep less records in wordpress default post table (A performace improvement consideration). Those are stored in a custom table.

Smush.it plugin can be forked to work with GD.

This is an important consideration as is making images responsive. Just working through this now.

What do you mean with “Smush.it plugin can be forked”?

And why I recieve that error message with a wrong url for the image icon map?

it means that we can modify smushit plugin to work with GeoDirectory.

As Vikas explained we don’t use the canonical wordpress database structure for everything to improve performances.

We would have to modify that plugin to be aware of the db changes in GD.

    Thank you.

I hope you modify the smush.it plugin. We can´ trust users upload optimized images.

Also, as I stated in the wishlist post it would great set a maximum file size upload for the user submissions.

    Hi Vikas.

Are you working on limit file size upload?

I cant let users upload 1Mb or 2Mb images.

Hi, i hope someone can help,

When users upload images they are getting stretched.
We are using the valenti theme and the Re-size Image After Upload plug-in to Keep the file sizes down.

    Thanks

I am using jetpack – that should have the same effect on the image optimization front though it seems that GD images are not considered by the plugin as well?
