I see that recently you added Rank Math support, however all images fail completely and all are marked as no “alt” attribute. Bringing down SEO score.

The main image that is the only one accesible via the media, has the title and alt, all the other images only accesible from GD backend have the title and caption as well.

How to fix this problem so images are OK for SEO?

    Thanks.

Have you asked Rank Math support?
Can you give us a URL where there is an image without an “alt” tag, and tell us what image to look for?
    Thanks

    Hello Guust.

No, I haven’t ask them. The problem comes from GD.

I am referring to the Rank Math analysis when adding a place, not once the place is published.

So when you add a place and add a web URL or Facebook for example. No external link is recognized in Rank Math.

When you add images to GD in a place, Rank Math does not recognize that.

So it shows as no alt in images, no external links, etc…

    The idea is:
If I add 15 images with titles and captions and after publishing I go to the media library to add the alt to the only image I have access to from GD and I also add 2 external links.

Rank Math reads that and add it to the score instead of telling me I haven’t add 4 things I did.

    Makes sense?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

the developers have taken a look and ask you to please report the issue to the RankMath authors.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

I also noticed that gd_place-sitemap.xml shows all places as 0 images, and all of them have at least 10 images. As GD is the one managing images and not WP, I again think this is something GD has to fix.

I really believe that the ones that should contact RankMath to have their product working correctly with SEO are you, not me to solve my installation. How about supporting all your clients offering a real RankMath support and integration? I thought that the added Rank Math support included all of this.

Anyway, I already opened a ticket with them and this is what I get:

Our content analysis may not be able to detect data within this plugin’s fields but I can suggest that you reach out to the authors of this plugin so that they can help in integrating our content analysis API. Please take a look at this article for more info on this: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

I basically see 3 problems for a start.

1- After I add images I get the no alt for images, even if they are there. All the images are stored by GD and I assume that is the problem.
2- If I add links to the places (web url, Facebook, twitter, etc…) those are ignored as well.
3- When I see the sitemap, all the places appear as 0 images and all of them have at least 10 each.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Their devs had given us some code for GD that we added for titles and descriptions. I have added a task to look at further integrations, we will update you here once done.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

    Hello Again.

Is there an update about this?

Keyword is still not found in alt for images. How does GD saves them? There is something not natural in the way the images are saved and/or the data entered for titles and caption.

Maybe you can use Title for alt as well? That way automatically what someone enters as title, is used as alt.

    Thanks.

I have asked a developer to look into this more. We use a custom DB for most of our images, if we can integrate it more with rank math then we will.
