    Hi there,

I have a large import i am trying to do and running into multiple roadblocks.

At first I started using WP All Import + the Geodirectory addon for WP ALL import
    – I cannot get the categories to work properly – if i use the field in the Geodirectory section – the categories wont stick – regardless if i use the ID or the name.
    – If i use the Taxonomies / Categories section you can see that its upload in the admin screen [when you click places, then places], but when you open the detailed listing in admin the categories arent there.

The only way that works is to use the inbuilt importer geodirectory, but it has a 2mb limit. I have 100,000 listings – it will talk forever to split – plus if in the future i want to update…. what a mess.

I also own a Pro copy of WP ALL Import – the Geodirectory wpallimport addon doesnt work with the pro version.
Plus the pro version cant see the fields of the custom post type either..

Im really struggling & hoping you can shed some light on a solution..

I will get a developer to confirm my answers, to make sure I answered correctly.

    1. You need to import categories first. Importing listings cannot create categories.

    2. To import larger files using GD, change:
GD > Settings > General tab > Show Advanced > Max upload file size(in mb)

    Thanks

I thought we did test it with WP ALL Import PRO.

The devs at WP ALL Import tested it too and they didn’t report problems with anything. I’d bet they tested with their pro version too.

If you provide a link, admin and FTP credentials, we’ll quickly check what is going on.

    Thanks

    Hi Paolo,

I had a quick look in the code of GEO Wp ALL Import and I can see that its looking for the free version directory. The pro version directory ends in “-pro”.

Ill send some login details shortly

    Hi Rudi,

The next release of the addon should be able to detect WP All Import Pro.
