I JUST NOTICED I POSTED THIS IN THE SOCIAL IMPORTER ON ACCIDENT, I WILL BE POSTING IN THE CORRECT PLACE PLEASE MERGE, SORRY – ANTHONY

    1. Hey, so I am about to do a bulk import with a Category – Sub – Listing structure. I did an export of a demo listing I made that belonged to the following subcategory // Automobile – Parts & Accessories // which was inside the top level category // AUTOMOTIVE //

It also has a few more, but lets focus on the first one.

The result of the export was this

    Automobile – Parts &-amp-; Accessories,AUTOMOTIVE,Electronics – Audio Visual,RETAIL SHOPPING,Truck Parts &-amp-; Accessories
NOTE: I added dashes into the escape so I could demonstrate it

    Notice the escaped &,

should I follow this example when doing the import and escape all the &’s and if I dont will it escape them for me

    2. It seems that it then states the primary category after the sub, which seems kindof backwards. Is this the example I should follow when doing the import?

    3. If I dont include the top level and directly reference the sub level, will it still work to make it easier for me?

    4. Is default category required for import, or can I do without assigning it?
