Initial Map load / All categories unchecked

Might be a bug. Not sure.

I cannot seem to get the default Map post type to have all categories unchecked on initial load. I have tried GD -> Design -> Maps -> uncheck categories… which works for every custom post type besides default category.

It does work however if my default map custom post type is “places” which comes default with geodirectory. It also works if I choose a new post type on the map and then go back to the default.

Ex:
-Parks has all categories unchecked in GD-Design-Maps-uncheck.
-On initial map load all the categories are checked.
-If I select another post type on the map and go back to parks they are all unchecked.

What do i need to modify (core file possibly) to have all categories unchecked by default? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
