Installation Question: Which GDV2 Addons?

    Referring to the docs / installation under “Fresh Install of GeoDirectory V2
    Number 6 states, “Download, Install and Activate GDV2 Addons.”

    Umm, which ones? All of them? Any of them? Only the ones that I want? Or is there a core set of Addons necessary to run the demo data?

    (FWIW, I did search the forum and I am going to cowboy my way through this no matter what (apologies to cowboy lovers everywhere).)

    Boneheaded Error Alert

    tl;dr Remember to ACTIVATE your plugins

    If you spent all day pushing up against something you do not yet understand, walk away from the computer. Sleep on it and come back the next day.

    Having completed two installations, groping “in the dark” as it were, I could not understand why my install was not behaving as expected. I was exhausted and moving from one thread to another here in the forum and over in the docs.

    With fresh eyes this morning, I came back to my desk and stared at the plugins screen… at all those plugins just sitting there, waiting to be activated.

    Does anyone remember when “did you reboot your computer” was a valid tech support question?
