    Hi, it is possible to integrate some features of this plugin: GEO my WordPress http://wordpress.org/plugins/geo-my-wp/ , without compromising GD?

    I want to use it for geolocalize Blog posts.

    It also has an interesting feature called “Auto Locator“. This feature will automatically try to get the user’s current location When first visiting the website. If location found it will be saved via cookies.

    Looks like the Auto-Locator is the same as GD’s Share Location Addon. So you probably can only use one of the two locators.
    Not really sure for the rest, I can’t directly see any problem if you only use the GEO-my-WP for non-GD posts and pages.
    But Paolo might be best placed to comment on this.

    Why not try it, and let us know how it went? I would not think it can do permanent damage. Backup first or use a test installation.

    Thanks Guust. My main problem is to locate blog posts, because I have regional news throughout Italy. But I can understand how it works exacly Geodir Share Location? I found no docs.

    GeoDire share location more or less does the same thing : automatically try to get the user’s current location When first visiting the website. If location found it will be saved via session.

    Adding an option to assign a location to blog posts too is in the to do list.

    I haven’t tested that plugin to see if it creates conflicts with GD. Just give it a try and let us know…

    Hi Paolo,

    Is there a way for a user to cancel an allowed geolocation session so when he visits the site in the future he will again be asked if he wants his location to be tracked or not?
