Integrate plugin with membership management plugin

Hi,

I’m just curious to know if an idea I have is possible or not.

I am building a directory for a local business association. The directory lists all businesses in town whether they are members of the association or not, but if the business IS a member, we mark the business as featured in the directory.

The website will also have a membership management plugin (I haven’t decided which one yet) to allow businesses to join as members, manage their association membership, renew membership etc.

Is it possible to somehow automatically list a business as “featured” when they become a paid member through a membership plugin? And have the expiry date for the paid membership automatically align with the expiry date for a paid listing?
